This decision of the department has caused a consternation in the teachers' ranks. Expressing strong displeasure over the departmental decision, the state president of Government Teachers' Union, Punjab Sukhwinder Singh Chahal and general secretary Kuldeep Singh Daurka termed the termination of posts of 228 PTI teachers in the middle schools as a gross injustice to the students studying in the middle schools.

NEW DELHI: The grants to 12 colleges affiliated to Delhi University (DU) have not been released once again due to which teachers and employees of these colleges are under mental stress due to non-payment of their salaries. Many teachers are facing difficulties in paying EMIs, house rent, car loans, depositing children's fees and running a family.
