High Court imposes Rs.2 lakh penalty on Punjab DGP and three IAS officers, to be deducted from their salaries

CHANDIGARH: On a contempt petition, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered a penalty against four senior officers, including DGP Gaurav Yadav, for failing to comply with its directions to act against illegally modified vehicles operating in the state.

MOHALI: In a significant development, a Mohali court on Monday rejected the Punjab Vigilance Bureau’s (VB) application seeking custody of Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, who is already in the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with a major corruption case.
