GURDASPUR:A function dedicated to Teachers' Day was organized by the renowned social service organization Rahat Foundation at Golden College of Engineering, Gurdaspur in which 41 teachers from 19 blocks were honored with letters of appreciation. ADC Gurdaspur Rahul IAS was specially present for the award along with District Education Officer Harpal Singh Sandhanwalia and Golden College of Engineering owner Mohit Mahajan.
The program was inaugurated by Mohit Mahajan, Chairman, Gordon College. Mr. Mukesh Verma, General Secretary of Gordon College read out a report on the work done by the Rahat Foundation during the last four years and Mr. Ram Lal, President of the Rahat Foundation. Congratulations were extended to the teachers present in the district and best wishes were extended for the future.
On this occasion District Education Officer Harpal Singh Sandhanwalia said that hard work was being done by the teachers in his district and Teachers are not only the creators of the future but they also carry out all the responsibilities assigned to them at the administrative level.
Speaking on the occasion ADC Gurdaspur Rahul IAS said that the honor of any teacher is truly called when his work is appreciated socially. Mr. Rahul said that next year he would propose to organize a program at the district level to honor the best performing teachers and would also support such institutions. This DC Rahul said that by honoring the teachers on this platform he himself is feeling honored. On the occasion he congratulated the Rahat Foundation for its good work and also lauded the program for honoring the teachers.
