CHANDIGARH: Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa has asked the Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal to immediately resign as Akali Dal president because his party despite of being a long time ally in Modi government failed miserably to protect the interests of Punjabis. He no longer has the moral and political right to remain as president of Shiromani Akali Dal.

CHANDIGARH:The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), an NDA ally, on Tuesday announced to undertake 'chakka jam' for three hours across Punjab on September 25 to protest against the farm bills passed by both the Houses of Parliament.

CHANDIGARH: Fearing backlash, the Akali Dal, an alliance partner with the Central government, has appealed to it not to present the three Central agricultural ordinances for approval in Parliament until all reservations expressed by farmer organisations as well as farmers and farm labourers are duly addressed.
