AMRITSAR: Acting Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Kuldeep Singh has took a strong notice of descreation of Guru Granth Sahib in Koulpur village in Vijaypur Tehsil of Jammu’s Samba district, the a Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, personally visited the Gurdwara today and conducted a comprehensive investigation.
Jathedar Gargajj described the incident as deeply shameful and painful, stating that the entire Sikh Panth is anguished over this desecration. Taking firm action, he announced a lifetime ban on all office-bearers and members of the Management Committee of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Koulpur, including their family members, prohibiting them from ever holding managerial responsibilities in any Gurdwara in the future. They can come to the Gurdwara to pay obeisance and participate as devoted Sikhs, he said.
He issued a stern directive to all Gurdwara Management Committees worldwide, emphasizing that instead of competing for posts such as president, secretary, or member, Sikhs must serve as true sewadars of the Guru’s House, ensuring 24-hour vigilance within every Gurdwara Sahib. He reminded that Akal Takht Sahib had already issued such instructions earlier, warning that any negligence would invite strict disciplinary action.
