KAPURTHALA: In a major crackdown against the illegal counterfeit currency trade going on in the city, the district police arrested six persons in the operation and seized Rs 1,47,000 fake notes of Rs 2000 and Rs 500, Rs 7500 in cash along with 30 packets of chemically treated paper used as raw material for making counterfeit currency, bottles filled with chemical and dyes and packets of chemical powder as well as three vehicles used to transport counterfeit currency.
