NAWANSHAHR: With the arrest of six persons including three women, the district police today claimed to have solved the murder of Balvir Singh, 60, of Khatkar Kalan, near Banga. Balvir Singh was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the morning of January 17 at his residence and the police had registered a case on the statement of Amarjit Kaur, wife of the deceased. The deceased had returned from Lebanon around one month ago. He had been residing in Lebanon for the past 23—24 years.

Canada based elderly NRI couple robbed, injured in Phagwara
