KAITHAL: A case of cheating a young man of Rs 40 lakh on the pretext of sending him to America has come to light. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against two persons and started investigation. Ismail, a resident of village Fatehpur, wanted to go abroad.

Believing their words, Ismail agreed to go through them in the year 2024. According to the complaint, between September 4, 2024 and July 18, 2025, both the accused collected about Rs 40 lakh from him through cash and online medium on various pretexts. The accused had assured that he would soon be sent to America as soon as all the documents were completed. But even after a long time, when no process started, Ismail spoke to them.
