Kaithal police exposed the story of false robbery in just 12 hours

KAITHAL: District Police Kaithal, taking quick and accurate action, exposed the truth of an alleged robbery in just 12 hours. The story, composed by the complainant himself, was exposed due to police vigilance and intensive investigation. 

The police spokesman said that on September 26 at 7:27 pm, information was received at the control room Kaithal that two unidentified bike riders on the road attacked Gurpreet Singh son Kulwant Singh resident ward no. 5, Shakti Nagar Kaithal hit him with an iron rod and snatched 2 lakh rupees kept in his bag and escaped. Taking the information seriously, a special investigation team was constituted by SP Upasana under the chairmanship of DSP Guhla Kuldeep Singh Beniwal. 

The team consisted of experienced police officers including Inspector Sunil Kumar, Inspector Inspector Ramesh Kumar (Incharge Special Detective Unit Kaithal). Investigation was started by registering a case in police station Guhla. Police teams engaged in inspection of the scene, gathering technical evidence, interrogation of witnesses and investigating the suspects all night. Intensive investigation revealed that the complainant Gurpreet Singh, who serves as a goldsmith, had suffered a huge loss in business. To make up for the losses, he had lodged a complaint by creating a story of false loot with the aim of getting financial help from his family members. 

He admitted that there was no incident of robbery or assault with him. SP Upasana praised DSP Guhla Kuldeep Singh Beniwal, Inspector Sunil Kumar, ASI Mukesh Kumar, ASI Balkar Singh, Chief constable Shivkumar, SI Ishwar Singh, Sub Inspector Ramesh Kumar, CIA-1 Kaithal and the entire team's quick and commendable efforts in this case, which highlighted the truth in just 12 hours .The FIR has been dismissed as the complaint was found to be false and legal action will be taken against the complainant as per departmental rules for misleading the police and misusing the law.
