Slow Paddy lifting and slow purchases in kaithal mandies leads to resentment among farmers.

KAITHAL: In the new grain market, farmers and commission agents are facing trouble due to chaos during the paddy season. There are lying about 50 thousand filled bags in the three mandis of the city, but due to the lack of ID of rice millers, there is no lifting. 

At the same time, the purchase of PR paddy has also begun at a slow pace. There are no operators at booths made to issue gate passes in the market. So far, about 250 farmers' gate passes have been issued, but they are not being used due to delay in lifting of purchased paddy . The market committee has sent a demand for 35 operators, but no approval has been received.. Officials of the Bharatiya Kisan Union visited the mandis and noticed the problems of the farmers. State President Abhimanyu Kohar of BKU Ekta Sidupur Haryana, State Convenor Hoshiar Singh Gill Proda, Bhana Ram Sega, Jaswinder, Kuldeep, Devendra Mastgarh, Gurudev, Kitab Singh, Ramesh said that due to slow lifting of paddy and purchases, there is shortage of space in the mandies and farmers are facing serious problems. The farmers leaders demanded SDM and DFSC to fix it soon. 

Market Committee Secretary Narendra Dhul said that so far 16 thousand quintals of PR has arrived in the mandis. After the Rice Millers ID is formed, the lifting will be faster and operators for the gate pass will be available soon. Krishna Mittal, head of the new Grain Market Association, also demanded to improve the poor condition of roads and street lights.
