KAITHAL: One person died in a road accident on National Highway-152 late at night. The deceased has been identified as 59 -year -old Jaipal, a resident of village Tharvi in Fatehabad district.
Kalayat police station is investigating the incident. According to the information, Jaipal was returning to his village Tharvi from Kaithal on a tractor at night. The tractor suddenly developed some mechanical problem and came to a halt near Kalayat. He stopped on the road and started examining the tractor when an unknown vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit him strongly. Jaipal died on the spot in the accident. Passengers informed the police about the incident.
According to the station in -charge Ramnivas, the police team reached the spot and took the body and sent it to the civil hospital for post -mortem . The statements of the relatives are being recorded. The police have registered a case against the unknown driver and started investigation.
