Last rites of Naik Narendra Singh Sindhu performed with state honors

KAITHAL: The body of Lance Naik Shaheed Narendra Singh Sindhu, a resident of Rohera village in the district, wrapped in a tricolor reached in Army vehicle in the village on Wednesday. People from the entire village as well as the surrounding areas paid tribute to him. He was cremated with state honors. Rohtas, cousin of martyr Narendra Singh Sindhu, lit the pyre . On behalf of the district administration, SDM Ajay Singh attended the funeral and paid tribute to the martyr.

On Monday, lance Naik was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Srinagar. As soon as the information of his sacrifice reached the village, a pal of gloom descended in the village. Narendra's maternal uncle ex -soldier Azad Singh said that 28 -year -old Narendra Singh Sindhu was a brave soldier of three Raj rifles. In the year 2017he was inducted in Raj Rifle at Delhi. After this, about four years ago, he was posted in Rashtriya Rifle Srinagar. The upcoming October 5 was his birthday, for which he was to come home on October 2, but God the destiny had planned otherwise

He told that as usual, Narendra was on patrol with his colleagues in the valleys near Srinagar. Then at around 11 o'clock, the terrorists suddenly opened fire and the encounter. took place .Narendra was shot during the encounter and was seriously injured. He was then taken to Srinagar Hospital. Where he was succumbed to injuries during treatment.

Azad Singh further said that Narendra Sindhu has a younger brother and two elders. Brother is currently living in America and both sisters are married. While father Dalbir Singh is a farmer and mother Roshni Devi is a housewife. The father said that the son is proud of the martyrdom. He saluted his son. In the funeral, a large number of people from all over the district including the village bid farewell to the martyr Narendra. During this time people raised slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Narendra Singh Sindhu Amar Rahe. Army soldiers saluted the martyrs body Army officer LA Singha presented the tricolor to Narendra's father.

On this occasion, BJP District President Jyoti Saini, Kalayat MLA Vikas Saharan, INLD State President Rampal Majra, District Sainik and Archaeological Welfare Officer Colonel OP Sharma, DSP Sushil Prakash, Naib Tehsildar Suresh Kumar, Suresh Sandhu, Manish Sharma, Ex -Servicemen Association head Jagjit Singh and others Ex -servicemen, army officers, people associated with social, religious and political institutions reached the village and paid tributes to the martyr.

Narendra Singh.The SDM Ajay Singh announced that the village govt School will be named after martyr Sindhu, SDM Ajay Singh said that DC Preeti and all the district administration salute the Veer Shaheed Narendra on behalf of the district administration. According to the order of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, a government job, financial assistance of one crore rupees will be given to the family by the state government. Along with this, the government school of the village will be named after Narendra Singh Sindhu.
