Accused arrested for duping Couple of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of sending them to Canada.

KAITHAL: Kaithal, September 6 The accused who cheated Matour residents of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of sending a husband and wife to Canada was arrested by the police .

The accused Satyavan Singh, a resident of village Matour, was arrested during investigating of the case of fraud of Rs 7 lakh played with couple .The team of ASI Darshan Singh under the leadership of Inspector Om Prakash arrested accused after investigation.Police spokesperson said that according to the complaint of Phool Singh, a resident of village Matour , he wanted to send his son and daughter -in -law abroad.

In this regard, in the month of April, he came in to contact with Satyavan, Sanjay and his wife Paramjit Kaur of the village. They told them that they would send his son and daughter -in -law abroad. He agreed on this. After this, the accused took Rs 7 lakh from April to June at different times. After taking the money, he assured that both would be sent abroad soon. But instead of sending them to Canada, the accused sent his son and daughter -in -law to Malaysia and told him to send them forward soon. Even after a long wait, when no response came from his side, he spoke to the three. On this, the accused first assured to send his son and daughter -in -law abroad, but later refused. When the victim asked for the money back, they also refused to return the money and started threatening.

In this way the accused cheated him. A case was registered in the police station Kalayat. The accused was sent to judicial custody as per the order of the court.
