AMRITSAR: The entire leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal is making great efforts to provide help by going to the flood affected areas. Considering its moral responsibility, the party leadership is personally sending all kinds of relief material to the places where financial assistance is being provided.
The Rakhra family has started providing assistance of Rs 10 crore to flood victims. Under which special arrangements have been made for farmers including diesel, house repairs, educational materials for children, medical kits and fodder for livestock. Along with this, efforts are also being made to provide financial assistance to the needy families.
Rakhra said that Subedar Kartar Singh Dhaliwal Trust has formed teams of party workers and put them on duty so that help can be sent to the needy families.
In the memory of the late politician Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, while the Dhindsa family has taken up the arms of the victims under the commendable effort of building 7 houses, the Dhindsa family is continuing to provide continuous help.
Biba Gagandeep Kaur Dhindsa and her team continuously visited the affected areas. Fulfilling the demand of diesel made by the farmers, the Dhindsa family went door to door and handed over cheques to the needy farmers. Biba Gagandeep Kaur assured the farmers that late Dhindsa always considered his constituency as a part of his family, today in this situation he is standing shoulder to shoulder with the family he found as his constituency.
Former MLA Sardar Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra visited the affected villages of Sanaur constituency.
On this occasion, the dry fodder arranged by them for the livestock was distributed in the flood affected areas. On this occasion, Harinderpal Chandumajra said that today, along with the damage caused by the flood, it has also been the result of the incompetence of the government.
