AMRITSAR: The Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, today visited the flood-affected villages of Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts.
During the visit, he distributed relief material including ration and drinking water among the residents of village Ransike Talla in Gurdaspur district.
In the evening, Jathedar Gargajj offered prayers at Gurdwara Baba Buddha Ji, Ramdas, seeking blessings from the Akal Purakh that the situation in Punjab may soon normalize, people get relief from floods, and that the land of the Gurus always remains in a state of Chardi Kala (ever-rising spirit).
He also prayed that the Akal Purakh may continue to bless the youth of Punjab and the Panth with courage and determination, as they have been serving selflessly day and night during this calamity without caring for their own lives.
On this occasion, SGPC member Jodh Singh Samra, Manager of Gurdwara Dera Baba Nanak Satnam Singh, and Manager of Gurdwara Baba Buddha Ji Ramdas S. Jagtar Singh, among others, were present.
During his visit to Gurdwara Baba Buddha Ji, Ramdas, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj also met with Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Shri Rakesh Tikait, who had arrived from Uttar Pradesh carrying relief material for Punjab. Jathedar Gargajj honoured Rakesh Tikait for standing with Punjab in this difficult time and for bringing relief supplies.
