PHAGWARA: In response to the flood situation in Sultanpur Lodhi, the district administration has intensified relief efforts to ensure uninterrupted support to residents in affected areas. Under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Alka Kalia, four dedicated teams have been deployed since early morning to deliver essential supplies directly to households using SDRF boats.
The distributed relief material includes ration kits, sanitary pads, tarpaulins, mosquito nets, and other essential items. According to Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal, nearly 250 ration kits have already been delivered today, and the operation is continuing seamlessly.
He further emphasized that administration teams are reaching out to families who, despite the rising water levels, are reluctant to leave their homes in low-lying areas. While providing essential supplies, the administration has also appealed to such residents to move to safer places and avail facilities at the designated relief centers.
To ensure round-the-clock assistance, control rooms have been set up at the district and sub-divisional levels. Residents can reach out for any emergency support through the following helpline numbers:62800-49331, 01822-231990, 01828-222169 (Sultanpur Lodhi Sub-Division Flood Control Room)
