AMRITSAR: The Zonal Youth Festival of Government Colleges, Constituent Colleges, and Associate Institutes, organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, concluded today with a vibrant prize distribution ceremony. The event, held from October 16 to October 18 under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh, showcased remarkable talent across various categories.
In the A-Division, S. R. Govt. College for Women, Amritsar, emerged as the Overall Champion, followed by Govt. College Gurdaspur as 1st Runners-Up and Guru Nanak Dev University College, Pathankot, as 2nd Runners-Up.
In the B-Division, Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Govt. Co-Education College, Bootan Mandi, Jalandhar, clinched the Overall Champion title, with Guru Nanak Dev University College Verka and Baba Namdev University College Kishankot both as 1st Runners-Up, and Shri Guru Teg Bahadur College, Sathiala, as 2nd Runners-Up.
Among Associate Institutes, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women secured the Overall Champion position, while Shivalik Degree College, Gurdaspur, took 1st Runners-Up.
The ceremony was presided over by Prof. H. S. Saini, Dean of Students Welfare, alongside Dr. Amandeep Singh, In-Charge of the Youth Welfare Department, and other dignitaries, who presented awards to the winners. Dr. Amandeep Singh highlighted the festival’s success in fostering youth talent and unity.
On this occasion team members Dr. Satnam Singh Deol, Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. Parambir Singh Malhi, Dr. Prabhsimran Singh, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Sachin Kumar, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Dr. Vishal Bhardwaj, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur and Dr. Simran Kaur were present.
