AMRITSAR: Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET), Ranjit Avenue, came alive with colors, music, and youthful energy as the institution organized its grand Fresher’s Party Bienvenido 2025 to welcome the new batch of students. Upholding the long-standing tradition of the college, seniors warmly greeted their juniors and introduced them to the essence of professionalism, discipline, and camaraderie in campus life.
The celebration began with Shabad Gayan and lamp lighting, symbolizing the institution’s deep-rooted cultural ethos. A series of captivating performances, including soulful songs, vibrant dances, skits, and dazzling ramp walks, created an atmosphere filled with joy and enthusiasm. The occasion was not only a stage for entertainment but also a meaningful platform where the newcomers were encouraged to showcase their hidden talents and gain confidence as they embarked on a new academic journey.
On this occasion, Director Dr. Manju Bala extended her best wishes to the new students. She expressed that such events were not merely cultural festivities but served as a bridge to connect seniors and juniors.
She emphasized that through these interactions, students learned the values of bonding, responsibility, and professionalism. She further remarked that the institution continuously strives to channel youthful energy into creativity, innovation, and leadership, and she hoped that every student would have a journey filled with success, confidence, and learning.
The most awaited moment of the evening was the talent and fashion show, judged by renowned theatre artists and social media influencers : Mandeep Kaur, Aman Bal, and Vishu Sharma, where the freshers competed with immense zeal for various titles. After intense rounds of performances, the titles were conferred upon the deserving winners. Sumit Kumar (B.Sc. MT) was crowned Mr. Fresher, while Gunjan Gandotra (B.Tech ECE) won the title of Ms. Fresher. The title of Mr. Talent went to Gurmohan Singh (B.Tech CSE), and Ms. Talented was bagged by Jaspreet Kaur (BBA).
Among other winners were Harmandeep Singh (ME Diploma) as Mr. Best Dressed, Maria Nahar (B.Tech CSE) as Ms. Best Dressed, Sanchit Sharma (B.Tech CSE) as Mr. Handsome, Tsetan Angmo (BBA) as Ms. Charming, Umer Mehmood (B.Sc. RIT) as Mr. Charisma King, Taranjot (B.Tech AIML) as Ms. Sparkling Star, Lovish Sharma (AIML) as Mr. Jovial, Ankita (BBA) as Ms. Smile, Harish Singh (B.Tech ECE) as Mr. Best Performer, Prachi (BBA) as Ms. Best Performer, Himanshu Kumar (Diploma ME) as Mr. Rhythm Ruler and Samayira (B.Tech CSE) as Radiance Rockstar.
