MOHALI: Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, organized a lively Freshers’ Day Party to extend a warm welcome to its new students across MBA, MCA, BBA, and BCA programs. The event featured several colorful cultural performances. Chairman of the Gian Jyoti Group, Shri J.S. Bedi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and shared invaluable wisdom with the students. Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of Gian Jyoti, welcomed all the new entrants.
Chairman Bedi welcomed the new batch and encouraged them to cultivate good virtues like hard work, discipline, positive thinking, and punctuality. He also motivated the students to always follow the right path. Addressing the students, Chairman Bedi emphasized that cultural activities are an essential part of education as they foster harmony and enrich the environment.
The atmosphere was instantly energized by a series of power-packed cultural performances, including Bolywestern Beats, The Rhythm Boys, Lazy Dance, and an electrifying act by the International Dance Group.
The highlight of the event was the UG/PG Ramp Walk, conducted in two rounds. The first round showcased the participants' style and confidence, while the second round tested their wit through an engaging Q&A session. Freshers from various programs took the stage with zeal and excitement, showcasing their talent and individuality.
Students from both UG and PG programs shared their experiences and impressions, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and the inclusive culture of the Gian Jyoti Group. The centerpiece of the attraction was the Mr. and Miss Fresher contest. The main focus remained the competition for Miss Fresher and Mr. Fresher. During this, contestants showed their glamour on the ramp, while their intellect was tested in the question-answer round. In the end, the UG Titles were awarded to Mr. Fresher Avneet Grewal, Ms. Fresher Priya, Ms. Elegant Bhumi Sharma, and Mr. Handsome Kushanu Gautam. Meanwhile, the PG Titles were awarded to Mr. Fresher Pramath Kant Sharma, Ms. Fresher Ravneet Kaur, Mr. Handsome Aditya Pal, and Ms. Elegant Anmolpreet Kaur. The event concluded with a mesmerizing Group Bhangra performance by the students of Gian Jyoti.
