CLTA, CHANDIGARH:Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association is organizing Shri Ganesh Trading Company, Ludhiana CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament for Boy’s & Girl’s under-14 & 18 from 1st to 5th August 2022 in CLTA Tennis Stadium, Sector 10, Chandigarh.
Singles:
Aniruddh Sangra and Akshat Dhull advanced into the final In the Boy’s under-18 singles. Aniruddh defeated 5th seed Pratham Hitesh Kotak 6-4, 6-3. In the 1st set Aniruddh was down 2-4, after 2-4 down Aniruddh took the next 4 games in a row and won the 1st set 6-4. In the 2nd set Aniruddh maintained his rhythm and played consistently to close the set and match 6-3. In the another Semifinals top seed Akshat Dhull won from Yashshavi Balhara in a 3 setter deciding match 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-3. In the Boy’s under-14 singles Semifinals top seed Sumukh Marya defeated Raghav Pawan 7-6(2), 6-1 in straight sets. Sumukh Marya will face Pragun Thakur in the boys under-14 singles final tomorrow.
In the Girl’s under-18 singles Semifinals 7th seed Vanya Arora defeated Bhumi Kakkar in a 3 setter marathon match 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. In the another Semifinals Yashika Sharma upset 4th Priyasakhi Sajnani 6-2, 6-0 in straight sets. 3rd seed Mannat Awasthi and Shrawasti Kundilya advanced into the final in the Girl’s under-14 singles. Mannat Awasthi won from 6th seed Parigya Yadav 6-2, 6-1.
Doubles:
Arnav Bishoni and Varchasva Thapliyal defeated Aniruddh Sangra and Ashwajit Senjam in a 3 setter match 1-6, 6-3, 12-10 in the Boys under-18 doubles final. In the Boys under-14 doubles final top seed Haralam Singh and Armaan Walia defeated Gaurish Madaan and Tejas Khosla 7-6(4), 6-3 in straight sets.
Priyasakshi Sanjani and Radha Sadhra lift the Girls under-18 doubles title. Priyasakshi Sanjani and Radha Sadhra defeated Kritika Katoch and Shauryaa Pathak 6-3, 5-7, 10-7.
The Boy’s and Girl’s under-14 & 18 singles Finals matches will be played at CLTA Complex, Tennis Stadium, Sector 10C, Chandigarh from 09:30 A.M. onwards on Friday, the 5th August, 2022.
