KUALA LUMPUR: The officiating Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, arrived in Malaysia today for a two-day visit. Upon his arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, he received a warm welcome from the local Sikh sangat, who honoured him with a siropa (robe of honour) and flower garlands.
During his visit, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj will participate in Gurmat congregations being jointly organized by the Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia and the Tat Khalsa Diwan Selangor, dedicated to Khalsa Sajna Divas (Vaisakhi). He will attend the evening sessions of the two-day Gurmat Samagam on April 4 and 5 at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar Tat Khalsa Diwan Selangor, and is scheduled to return to India on April 6.
On the occasion, Baldev Singh Bholeke Personal Assistant to the Jathedar, Jaskaran Singh Writer from Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, among members of the Malaysian Sikh community including Avtar Singh former President of Gurdwara Sahib Petaling Jaya, Paramjit Singh, Jathedar of Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia; Manjit Singh, Surjit Singh, Harjit Singh, Ajit Singh, Gurpal Singh, Resham Singh, Harmeet Singh, and Ramandeep Singh Sonu, among others were present.
