KAITHAL: The accused Naveen alias Mussa was arrested on January 21 from Nepal Border Bihar by the team of SI Subhash Chand led by Special Detective Unit in-charge Inspector Ramesh in the case of managing a fatal attack on a youth by shooting in village Tyontha. Police spokesperson said that on the complaint of Vikram, a resident of Tyontha, on March 19, 2024, at around 3.30 pm, his nephew Gopal and his uncle's son Bansi Lal were eating kulcha Chole near Tyontha Government School.
After some time, Rohit, a resident of Tyontha, and Nishant, a resident of Mohana, came there on a motorcycle , Nishant took a pistol from Rohit's hand and fired several bullets at Gopal with the intention of killing him, Gopal fell on the ground as soon as the bullet hit him. When he shouted, Rohit and Nishant fled from the spot on their motorcycle along with the pistol. Regarding which a case was registered in Pundri police station. In the said case, the accused Rohit, resident of Tyauntha and Nishant, resident of Mohana, had already been arrested. During the investigation of the case, it was revealed that this attack was organized by Naveen.
The accused had gone abroad illegally during New Year 2023, for which a look out notice was issued by Kaithal Police. Naveen was now entering back into India through Nepal border where he was controlled with the help of Embassy and Bihar Police. During interrogation, it was revealed that during the year 2023, Gopal and Naveen's brother Praveen had a fight over some issue, and mutual rivalry was going on. During the year 2023, accused Naveen's brother Praveen had died in an accident and Gopal used to taunt him that he took revenge of his rivalry by killing Praveen.
To take revenge for this, Naveen had organized this attack through Rohit and Mohana to kill Gopal. Naveen had provided him money, real ammunition and a bike. Accused Naveen has a case of robbery registered in district Kurukshetra, a case of attempt to murder in district Karnal and a case of demanding ransom from a person in Pundri area in district Kaithal. Police remand of the accused was obtained till 26 January. After extensive interrogation, he was sent to judicial custody as per the orders of the court.
