Constructions demolished in developing illegal colonies.

KAITHAL: Taking a strict stand against illegal colonization, the District Administration and District Town Planning Department took major action on Tuesday. The department took action to demolish the colonies being developed illegally in the revenue estates Patti Kayastha Seth and Patti Chaudhary falling under the urban area of the city. This action took place under the supervision of District Town Planner Praveen Kumar, who was posted as Duty Magistrate.

He said that the boundary wall of the illegal colony spread over about 2 acres in Patti Chaudhary was demolished. In Patti Kayastha Seth also, roads, sewerage line and DPC were built in 2 acres area. It was demolished in the initial stage itself with the help of JCB machines. Notices were issued to land owners and property dealers under sections of the HDR Act 1975, but they neither stopped the work nor took permission from the department. After which this action was carried out. The department has sent a complaint to the police station Kaithal (Enforcement) to register a case against the concerned land owners and dealers, on which investigation has been started. The District Town Planner has warned the general public not to get misled by property dealers and invest their hard-earned money in illegal colonies.
