AMRITSAR: Play 'Samma Wali Daang' was performed on the second day on Tuesday of Guru Nanak Dev University Theatre Festival-2023 in the Dasmesh Auditorium of Guru Nanak Dev University. This festival is being organized in collaboration with Awaaz Rangmanch Toli, Rangkarmi Manch Amritsar and Adakar Manch Mohali.
Dr. Jatinder Brar, founder Punjab Naatshala was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The festival was also honoured with the presence of Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Sarbjot Singh Behl, Dean Students Welfare Prof. (Dr.) Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi and Dr. Sunil (Teacher In-Charge, Drama Club, GNDU). The play 'Samma Wali Daang' was directed and written by Dr. Sahib Singh. Dr Sunil Kumar (in-charge), Drama Club presented a heartful welcome to the distinguished personalities present in the hall.
Adakaari Manch Mohali performed the play 'Samma Wali Daang' based on the challenges faced by farmer in his daily life and that society percieves about their life. Dr. Sahib singh with his emotional message came out with a heart touching moment during the play. The play was a dramatization of societal interferences in the difficult lifestyle of the agrarian section that feeds the world. The play motivates the society for their behavioural instincts to change and train for situational analysis. Curtains then set to close after University officials thanked and appreciated the performers and their director Dr. Sahib Singh for their beautiful efforts to make this day a commemorable chapter. The audience with their beautiful reviews turned the chapter for the next day.
Dr. Sunil informed that Play Love Junction and Loha Kutt are postponed.
