KAITHAL: A Bihari labour died of snake bite in Manas village of this district last night.. The worker died three hours after the snake bite. The incident took place at about 2 am today.
Mahesh Mandal, a colleague of the deceased laborer, said that about 50 laborers have come here from Supaul district of Bihar to plant paddy. There are 10 to 12 laborers in his team. Jai Prakash Mandal, a member of his team, was sleeping on the cot while the other members were sleeping on the roof of the building in the field. He was bitten by a snake at around two AM and he cried.
After this incident he called the owner of the farm who took the victim to a hospital in Kaithal Town on his motorcycle. But due to excessive spread of poison in his body, private hospital referred him to the District Civil Hospital . After this, the doctors of the emergency ward started treatment to protect him victim but he died in five minutes.
