PHAGWARA: Bhartiya Kisan Union(Doaba) headed by its President Manjit Singh Rai has announced to participate in proposed “Rail Roko” programme of Kirti Kisan Morcha and Sanyukat Kisan Morcha on December 18.
The decision was announced by BKU General Secretary Satnam Singh Sahni after its state-level meeting held at Gurdwara Shri Sukhchain Sahib here today.
During the meeting the leaders assigned duties to its leaders to organise Rail Roko protest programs in District Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Nawanshahr. In Nawanshahr the rail roko would be organized at Behram Railway Station; in Jalandhar at Phillaur Railway Station; similarly in Hoshiarpur Railway Station and also it is likely that Rail Roko would be organized at Phagwara Railway Station too from 12 PM to 3PM on Dec.18.
The meeting also decided that leaders/members of BKU/Doaba from each circle of BKU/Doaba on consecutive days would continue to participate in the agitation at Shambhu Border.
