PHAGWARA: A delegation of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Doaba), led by state president Manjit Singh Rai, met Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and representatives of Phagwara Sugar Mill at the Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh on Monday to press for the release of long-pending sugarcane payments to farmers.
