AMRITSAR: Manjinder Singh, Committee Member of the World Sikh Military Martyrs Memorial Committee (Regd., Italy), along with his family members, was accorded a warm welcome and honoured with a Siropa at the office of Amandeep Singh Walia after paying obeisance at the holy Sikh shrines in Amritsar.
Among those present were Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala, Dr. Gurvinder Singh Mahal, Dr. Ranbir Singh, Tajinder Singh, and S. Gurmeet Singh Walia (Canada).
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala said that the World Sikh Military Martyrs Memorial Committee is performing a noble mission by preserving and promoting the unparalleled sacrifices of Sikh soldiers who laid down their lives during the World Wars and other military campaigns. He remarked that a nation that remembers its martyrs keeps its heritage alive for generations.
He further stated that the Committee organizes annual memorial ceremonies, Ardas services, and historical awareness initiatives across Italy and Europe to commemorate Sikh soldiers. It also works closely with Italian authorities and local institutions to secure the recognition and respect that Sikh military contributions deserve at the international level.
The gathering also discussed collaborative efforts to inspire the younger generation by preserving and promoting the glorious legacy of Sikh valour, service, and sacrifice.
