Cremation to be Held in Pathankot on August 29
CHANDIGARH: Ram Prasad Sharma, the elder brother of Ashwani Sharma, Working State President of the BJP Punjab, passed away.
63-year-old R.P. Sharma, who had been unwell for some time, was undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh for the last 15 days and had been in the ICU for the past three days.
R.P. Sharma, who retired as AGM from Power Grid, played a significant role in Ashwani Sharma’s life. Like a father figure, he always stood firmly by his younger brother Ashwani.
Both R.P. Sharma and Ashwani Sharma lived together in a joint family under one roof.
The last rites will be performed on August 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the cremation ground near the Civil Hospital, Pathankot.
Meanwhile, Sunil Jakhar, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab, has expressed profound grief over the demise of R.P. Sharma, the elder brother of Ashwani Sharma, BJP Punjab's Working President and MLA from Pathankot.
Sunil Jakhar said that R.P. Sharma was a sociable and cooperative person, who was always a strong support for his family. He was like a father to Ashwani Sharma and played an important role in his life.
State President Sunil Jakhar prayed to God to give the family the strength to bear this unbearable loss and to grant the departed soul a place in his feet.
