AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is continuously providing assistance to the flood-affected people.
The employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee are working in the affected areas to reach out to the victims and provide all possible help.
Giving information in this regard, Secretary Partap Singh said that under the directions of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, assistance is being provided from nearby Gurdwaras in flood affected areas Sultanpur Lodhi, Goindwal Sahib, Dera Baba Nanak, Ramdas, Ajnala etc.
He said that the situation is getting worse due to the rising water level and the breach of river embankments at many places in the past few days. SGPC has instructed the managers of all Gurdwaras under its management to cooperate with the people in this difficult time.
While the arrangements for inns and langars for the accommodation of the Sangat are continuing continuously, SGPC employees are also making every possible effort to provide help to the victims. SGPC officials are also trying to reach out to the people and solve their problems.
Pratap Singh appealed to the affected people that they can contact the nearby Gurdwaras managed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for the necessary services.
