AMRITSAR: BJP Punjab Spokesperson and Sikh thinker Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala congratulated Jujhar Singh, a Sabat-Surat Sikh youth belonging to Gharhi Chamkaur, District Rupnagar (Ropar), for his remarkable victory in the International Power Slap Fight Championship held in Dubai (Abu Dhabi). He said that Jujhar Singh has made Punjab, Punjabis, and the entire nation of India proud by becoming the first Indian Power Slap Champion, defeating his Russian opponent Antoli Galushka with a powerful slap.
Prof. Khiala explained that this was a unique global sporting event where two contestants take turns slapping each other according to set rules, and the one who demonstrates greater endurance, balance, and power is declared the winner.
He said Jujhar Singh hails from the sacred land of Gharhi Chamkaur Sahib, where the elder Sahibzadas (sons) of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji attained martyrdom and immortalized the indomitable spirit of the Khalsa. From that very soil has risen this Sabat-Surat Sikh youth, who has brought honor and pride to Punjab and India through his devotion, discipline, and strength on the world stage.
Prof. Khiala further said that Jujhar Singh has truly lived up to his name, displaying the spirit of the “Jujharu Singh” — the warrior who fights with faith and dignity. By staying steadfast in the principles of Sikhism and maintaining his Sabat-Surat Sikh identity, he has proved on the international platform that wherever the Khalsa stands, honor and respect naturally follow.
He added that the victory of a Sabat-Surat Sikh youth on the modern global sports stage is not merely a personal triumph, but a victory of Sikh spiritual strength and discipline.
