Birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh was celebrated with great enthusiasm

AMRITSAR: The birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh was celebrated with great enthusiasm here today ab and a large number of devotees paid homage to Baba Ji at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh Ji .

On this occasion, prominent personalities including Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh and President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami were also present.

After the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib, Additional Chief Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Amarjit Singh informed the devotees about the life history of Baba Deep Singh. Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, who reached the event, said that we are the heirs of those martyrs who attained martyrdom by guarding religion with determination.

He inspired the devotees to remain steadfast in religion by following the path laid by the martyrs and receiving the gift of Amrit.

On this occasion, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami congratulated the Sangat on the birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh Ji and said that Baba Deep Singh Ji's services in Sikh history are very great. Baba Ji did the work of writing Gurbani with his own hands and wrote the four holy forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and installed them on the Takht Sahib. He said that the history of Baba Ji's martyrdom is also unparalleled.

He gave his martyrdom to stop the desecration of Gurdwaras while living his life according to the Guru's wishes.
Advocate Dhami appealed to the Sangat to take inspiration from the life of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji. Meanwhile, in the Gurmat celebrations organized by the SGPC for the past few days, famous Raagi, Dhadi and Kavishar groups of the Sikh community connected the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan and the glorious history of the Sikh community.

On this occasion, a special Amrit Sanchar Samagam was also organized, in which 215 people received the gift of Amrit. The Amrit was given to the seekers free of cost by the Kakar Dharam Prachar Committee.
During the function, Shiromani Committee members Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Ram Singh, Jathedar Bawa Singh Gumanpura, Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhishek, Secretary S. Partap Singh, OSD S. Satbir Singh Dhami, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Chief Granthi of Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib Bhai Surjit Singh Sabra, Manager S. Harpreet Singh, S. Satnam Singh Riar, Additional Manager S. Bikramjit Singh Jhangi, S. Jugraj Singh, Deputy Manager S. Jasbir Singh, Head Preacher Bhai Jagdev Singh, Kathavachak Bhai Gurpreet Singh, Preacher Bhai Balwant Singh Enokot, Bhai Satwant Singh, Bhai Gurvinder Singh were also present.
