PATIALA: Due to the negligence and lack of adequate arrangements made by the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party government in stopping diarrhoea, the outbreak of diarrhoea is spreading rapidly in Patiala, due to which panic is spreading among the people.
More than 50 people in Alipur village are affected by diarrhoea and cases are also coming up in many places in the city. Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Morcha Vice President Paramjit Singh Kainth has said that people of Patiala city and villages are affected by diarrhoea every year, there is no permanent solution to this, this problem is arising due to the negligence of the Health Department and the Municipal Corporation.
BJP leader Paramjit Singh Kainth said that this is the fault of Health Welfare Minister Dr. Balvir Singh's home district is Patiala and like last year, this time too, the outbreak of diarrhea is in full swing in Patiala Rural Assembly constituency and other places. The Health Department of the Punjab Government and the Municipal Corporation Patiala seem unable to control it as they have not made timely arrangements to stop diarrhea. During the rainy season, such diseases are spreading which are fatal but the Health Department has failed to control the diseases completely.
Every year the Central Government arranges a budget to fight fatal diseases under the Rural Health Mission, but the Health Department of the Punjab Government is unable to implement it completely. Sardar Kainth said that many complaints were made to the Municipal Corporation by the residents, but the Corporation took these complaints lightly, due to which the residents of the area are facing hardship.
