PHAGWARA: Lovely Professional University’s annual mega cultural fest, One India 2025, concluded with grandeur and vibrant celebrations, bringing together over 35, 000 students to showcase the spirit of unity in diversity. Themed “Gatha-e-Bharat: Narratives of Monuments and History, ” this year’s edition paid tribute to India’s timeless tales, architectural marvels, and rich cultural heritage.
Over the course of two days, the university campus transformed into a miniature India, where students represented the traditions, art forms, and lifestyles of 28 states and 8 union territories. The event’s highlight was a series of thematic stalls, each depicting the unique cultural identity of a region through traditional handicrafts, handmade souvenirs, folk art, and authentic regional cuisines. Visitors enjoyed a sensory journey across India — from the spicy delicacies of southern states to the rich flavors and crafts of the northern hills.
The grand finale of the fest captivated audiences with a breathtaking display of talent during the One World Dance Concert and ‘Jhoomo Re – One India Dance Concert.’ Students performed an electrifying fusion of traditional and contemporary dance forms, seamlessly blending classical rhythms with global musical influences. Performances from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi celebrated the diversity that defines India’s cultural fabric, earning thunderous applause from spectators.
Adding glamour to the occasion was the One India Fashion Show, where students walked the ramp in spectacular ensembles inspired by the traditional attire of various states. The runway came alive with a riot of colors, patterns, and creative designs, beautifully merging India’s ancient heritage with modern aesthetics and storytelling through fashion.
