MOHALI: The Department of Computer Applications, under the University School of Computing at Rayat Bahra University, organized a vibrant event “Mentors & Marvels – A Day of Talent and Tribute”, celebrating mentorship, academic excellence, and student creativity.
The program, held under the esteemed leadership of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice Chairman S. Gurinder Singh Bahra, Group Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Bansal, Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Sahil Verma, and Head of Department Dr. Anita Goyal, brought together students and faculty to honor mentors and showcase talents.
The event featured thought-provoking speeches, cultural performances, and a special tribute to mentors, where students expressed gratitude through poems, speeches, and presentations. A lively talent showcase included dance, music, skits, and poetry, reflecting the creativity and enthusiasm of the student community. Faculty members also delivered motivational talks, inspiring students to pursue excellence and embrace continuous learning.
On this occasion, the department presented the Best Leadership Award to Prof. (Dr.) Sahil Verma, Executive Director, in recognition of his visionary leadership, while the Long Service Award was conferred upon Dr. Anita Goyal, Head of Department, for her dedication and contributions. Faculty members were also collectively honored for their mentoring and academic guidance.
