NCC cadets cleaned the area around Darbar Sahib under Swachhta Hi Sewa Sewa

AMRITSAR: First Punjab Battalion NCC Amritsar today cleaned the corridor of Sri Darbar Sahib and Jallianwala Bagh area under Swachhta Hi Seva.

 Giving information about this, Colonel PDS Bal said that Swachhta Hi Seva Mission is going on from September 16 to October 2 under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan , in which cleanliness drive, street plays and awareness rallies are being conducted to create awareness about cleanliness among NCC cadets and city residents . In this context, NCC cadets from various schools and colleges today conducted a special cleanliness drive in Sri Darbar Sahib corridor and Jallianwala Bagh area. 

He said that these cadets gave the message that apart from cleanliness inside the house, it is very important to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings and public places. We should put our garbage in the garbage bin. Plastic and any other kind of waste should not be thrown on the roads. We should not throw away the waste of green vegetables and fruits in envelopes , because they go into the stomach of animals and harm them. Under waste management, a lot of material can be prepared from many things that are surplus at home. Following the principle of zero waste, we should waste as little as possible. The waste of green vegetables can be used to make fertilizer, which is very beneficial for plants. On this occasion, the cadets raised slogans about cleanliness and sanitation and made people aware. Subedar Gurnam Singh , Havildar Malkit Singh and students of various schools participated in this cleanliness campaign.
