Interactive Talk about Entrepreneurship and Startups at KCA

AMRITSAR: The P.G. Department of Commerce & Business Administration, organized "An Interactive Talk about Entrepreneurship and Startups: Driving Innovation and Growth”. Mick Walvisch (Senior Expert PUM Netherlands) was the Resource Person of the event. Prof. Rajdeep Singh Sohal (Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics Technology, GNDU) was the guest of the event. This event was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa (Principal), Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Head and Dr. Deepak Devgan, Programme Co-ordinator, Dr. Manisha Behal and Prof. Pooja Puri were deputed as co-coordinators for the event. 

Dr. Randhawa extended floral welcome to the resource person and cherished the initiative of the department to empower aspiring entrepreneurs by equipping them with essential skills and knowledge needed for success. Through engaging sessions by experienced speakers, the event seeks to inspire and motivate participants, fostering their entrepreneurial mindset. 

Dr. Sawraj Kaur highlighted that this programme aims to empower the students with advanced entrepreneurial knowledge and skills required to pursue the newly introduced practical subject entitled ‘‘Entrepreneurship Mindset Progrmme’’. 

Dr. Devgan highlighted the theme of this event that it aims to strength the Entrepreneurship skills among students in today’s fast paced world. He added that this programme is designed to identify and motivate potential students' and entrepreneurs, providing them with knowledge about various entrepreneurial aspects, government policies, funding opportunities, and skills development to reduce unemployment and aimed at nurturing and educating students on setting up and managing businesses. 

Mick guided the students that how can they boost their startups by preventing common errors and implementing the right strategy early on. He inspired the students about forward-thinking and innovative approaches in business. He focussed on fostering creativity among the students. Dr. Manisha Behal conducted the stage and also introduced esteemed guests with the audience. 

Dr. Deepak Devgan extended vote of thanks to the dignitaries. Prof. Meenu Chopra and Dr. Harpreet Kaur managed media coverage of the event. Dr. A.S Bhalla and Dr. Mandeep kaur took over the charge of photography. Dr. Samiya, Prof. Shivali sharma, Prof. sukhjinder kaur, Dr. Mandeep kaur, Prof. Manpreet kaur, Prof. Poonam, Prof. Diya Mahajan, Prof Amritbir kaur, Prof. Rushneet kaur and other faculty members were also present. Around 400 students participated in this event Dr. A. K. Kahlon (Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Economics), Dr. Poonam Sharma and other faculty members were also present.
