AMRITSAR: A high powered academic delegation from Universal School of Business Sydney (UBSS), Australia and US based businessman today visited the Khalsa College campus and they were mesmerized by the heritage structure and academic environment of the institution. They also interacted separately with the top officials of Khalsa University (KU) and Khalsa College Veterinary and Animal Sciences (KCVAS) and wished to strengthen academic ties.
Australian delegate Dr.Allen Bowens CEO-cum Vice chancellor of UBBS, Gerry Malhotra, Chancellor cum-Director of UBSS and IT businessman Rajwinder Singh Boparai Director of SRP Logistics, USA said they were here to explore streamlining the careers of hundreds of students through bilateral meetings and seminars and international academic collaborations.
While in discussions with KU VC Dr. Mehal Singh, Dean Academic Dr.Surinder Kaur and Registrar Dr. Khushwinder Kumar, said in the preliminary meetings today they looked for the prospective global exchange programs between UBSS and KU. “We are delighted to see the heritage of Khalsa College as well as Khalsa University’s new research programs”. There are possibilities of future cooperation the modalities of which might be finalized through discussions”, said Dr. Bowens.
He said they were impressed by the heritage of Khalsa College and termed it as “world class intangible and unmatchable heritage’. Gerry also praised the architectural-marvel.
