RBU Felicitates Students with Scholarships Worth 25 Crore

MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University (RBU) today felicitated the meritorious students of the RBU Scholarship Entrance Test (RBUSET) 2025 and formally launched RBUSET 2026 in a ceremony held at the university campus. The event was presided over by Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and graced by Ishwar Singh Sigar, CEO of TCI Freight, as the Chief Guest.

Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra announced that scholarships worth 25 crore were awarded under RBUSET 2025, benefiting hundreds of deserving and meritorious students. He emphasized the University’s commitment to making higher education accessible to all sections of society.

Chief Guest Ishwar Singh Sigar praised the initiative, congratulating the scholars for their academic excellence and encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to society. The top achievers were felicitated on stage, while other scholarship recipients were presented with certificates of excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Group Vice-Chancellor, highlighted that RBUSET is a flagship initiative of Rayat Bahra University to extend financial support to students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. He said that under the University’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive, scholarships worth up to 25 crore are being offered across diverse disciplines including Engineering, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Medical & Allied Sciences, Airlines & Tourism, Law, and Dental Sciences.

Dr. Sanjay further announced a Higher Education Scholarship Scheme for existing students of the Rayat Bahra Group. Under this initiative, eligible students will receive an additional 5% tuition fee waiver throughout their course duration, over and above any other scholarship benefit they are entitled to.

The event was also attended by Gurinder Singh Bahra, Vice-Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group, and Pankaj Verma, Vice-President (Admissions), Dr Simerjit kaur Dean DSW, along with senior faculty members and students.
