DHARAMSALA: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has canceled the Class 12 English examination for the March 2025 session across all examination centers in the state following a paper leak. The breach was detected at Government Senior Secondary School, Chowari, in District Chamba.

SHIMLA: The persistent efforts of the Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa to strengthen and expand the base of the Cooperative sector institutions of Punjab today bore fruit when the Markfed and the Himachal Pradesh Government inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The move would pave the way for the sale of varied products of Markfed at 5000 Public Distribution System (PDS) depots of the neighbouring Himachal.

CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has decided to restart its bus service on all
routes to Himachal Pradesh from July 1 as state has witnessed sharp decline in COVID-19 cases. CTU
also runs buses as usual for neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana. It is revealed an official of
the CTU here on Wednesday.

MANALI: Largely organic sweet cherry crop has brought smile on the faces of its growers in
Himachal Pradesh. With bountiful production expected to be over 850 tonnes this season which was
double than the production of last year. Cherry growers here in Manali say that they were getting
good price for the produce this year as yield and selling prices are more compared to last year. The
selling price is varying between Rs 175 to Rs 275 per kg depending on the quality of cherry.

CHANDIGARH:The government of Himachal Pradesh has decided to implement Parvat Dhara Yojjna
in 10 districts except Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti to rejuvenate and recharge acquifers in an effort
to conservenatural water resources. The scheme has a provision of outlay of Rs 20 crore. It is stated
by the spokesperson of the government.

SHIMLA: In a bid to boost adventure sports activities in the state and working towards
prosperity seems to be the mandate of the state government. The state government has
notified the ‘Himachal Pradesh Water Sports and Allied Activities Rules-2021’ thus paved
the way to hold water sports activities in the state. In December, 2019, draft rules were
published in the Rajpatra inviting objections/suggestions from the general public under Rule
65 of the HP Tourism Department and Registration Act 2002.

These amendments would pave way for conducting elections to Municipal Corporations on Party symbols, provide reservation for OBCs, provision of disqualification on grounds of defection, strengthen provisions of no-confidence motion etc.

A study conducted by Prof Jitender Mokta, principal investigator, FCMR assisted by Dr Ramesh, co-investigator revealed that the state has not only more number of diabetes than the states of Punjab, Haryana and Uttrakhand but also shared the top slot of diabetes patients.

CHANDIGARH: No political party in Himachal Pradesh had ever provided any space to the problem of oustees in their manifesto in any elections, but the fact remains that a generation has passed away in getting justice. It is a fact that dams have ruined the state and the hill states are all set to have one of the highest dam densities.

CHANDIGARH--The Government of India, the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the World
Bank signed $82 million loan for the implementation of Himachal Pradesh State Roads
Transformation Project on Monday.

CHANDIGARH: With a view to expanding the base of cooperative sector institutions of Punjab, the State Government has offered to supply the sugar produced in its cooperative mills to the Himachal Pradesh Government.
