KAITHAL: Tightening its grip on the accused duping the common people of lakhs of rupees under the pretext of sending them abroad while investigating a case of cheating on the promise of sending a youth abroad, the accused Satpal Singh, resident of village Mastgarh, was arrested by the team of ASI Sandeep Kumar under the leadership of SHO SI Rekha of Guhla police station. Police spokesperson said that as per the complaint of Ward No. 6 Cheeka resident Jaswinder Singh, he has a shop in village Sultania.
Accused Satpal Singh and his son Omprakash used to come to his shop. He also wanted to go abroad. In the year 2021, accused Satpal and his son came to his shop and said that Parminder Lalka is his brother-in-law who works in Chandigarh to send men abroad. If you also want to go abroad, he will get you a visa for America. Five to seven days later, the accused Satpal Singh, Om Prakash and Satpal Singh's wife Banso Devi, Satpal Singh's daughter Bhupinder Kaur and Parminder Lalka came to his shop in a Thar car and told him that Parminder Lalka had sent many boys abroad. And he will send you to America too. Due to which he agreed to pay Rs 45 lakh.
After a few days, he gave them Rs 25 lakh in cash. After this, the accused cheated him of another Rs 20 lakh in the name of getting a visa, even after which he was not sent to America. When he asked for his money, the accused started abusing and killing him. Regarding which a case was registered in Guhla police station. The accused was sent to judicial custody on Monday as per the court's order.
