Divorcee woman raped on the pretext of job, case registered

KAITHAL: A case of alleged rape of a divorced woman by luring her with a government job in Skill Employment Corporation has come to light. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case against the youth and started investigation. In her complaint to the police, a 32-year-old woman resident of a colony in the city told that she was married but later got divorced. After this she was looking for employment. 

During this time, in the month of August, she was introduced to a young man named Anil Kumar. The youth identified himself as being in touch with officials and leaders and assured them of getting a job in some department under the Skill Employment Corporation. According to the woman, the accused reached her house on September 2. There he forcibly had physical relations with her against her will while promising her a job. The woman alleged that she was also threatened with death if she protested. 

Due to fear, she remained silent for a long time, but later gathered courage and complained to the police. On the basis of the woman's complaint, a case has been registered against Anil Kumar in Civil Line police station under relevant sections including rape. Investigating officer of Civil Line police station, ASI Sudesh, said that the police have registered a case and the matter is being investigated seriously. Further action will be taken based on the facts emerging during the investigation.
