SRI ANANDPUR SAHIB: Holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib is all set to welcome lakhs of devotees who will be visiting the city of bliss to pay obeisance at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and participate in series of events being organized by the Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh to commemorate 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.
Divulging the details Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister has embarked a series of events to mark the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji after senior Cabinet Ministers performed Ardas at Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib on October 25, which was followed by Kirtan Darbar at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj sahib where Bhagwant Singh Mann and National Convener of AAP Arvind Kejriwal took part. Likewise, Light and Sound Show was organized in all the 23 districts across the state and Kirtan Samagam was held at three places in Baba Bakala, Amritsar and Patiala. On November 19 Nagar Kirtan started from Gurdwara Chhevi Patchhahi, Srinagar, which Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also took part, which will reach Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22 via Jammu, Patankot, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Mahilpur and Garshankar.
The Cabinet Minister said that Another nagar kirtan on Majha Doaba Route will start from Gurdwara Sri Sangat Sar Pathwala, Gurdaspur on November 22 and reach Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22 via Batala, Baba Bakala Sahib, Sri Amritsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Goindwal Sahib, Kapurthala, Kartarpur, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Banga , Nawanshehar and Balachaur. Similarly, another nagar kirtan on Malwa 1 Route will start from Qila Mubarak (Baba Shekh Farid Yadgari Asthaan), Faridkot on November 20 and reach Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22 after crossing through Ferozepur, Moga, Jagroan, Ludhiana, Khanna, Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, Morinda, Chamkaur Sahib and Rupnagar. Likewise, nagar kirtan on Malwa 2 Route will start from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabho on November 20 and reach Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22 via Bathinda, Barnala, Sangrur, Patiala, Rajpura, Banur, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Kurali and Rupnagar.
The Cabinet Minister said that On November 23 Sri Akhand Path Sahib will arambh at Gurudwara Sahib near Baba Buddha Dal Chhauni in which Chief Minister along with other dignitaries will participate. Likewise, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate an Exhibition on the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial. On the same day Sarv Dharm Sammelan will be organized by the state government at main pandal Baba Buddha Dal Chhauni in which eminent religious leaders like Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, Dr. Rabbi Ezekiel Isaac Malekar (Jews), Bhikkhu Sanghsena Ji (Buddha), Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, Acharaya Dr. Lokesh Muni Ji (Jain), Rajyogi Dr. Binny Sareen Ji (Brahma Kumari), Haji Syed Salman Chisty Ji (Muslim), Mahant Gyandev Ji (Nirmal Akhada), Syed Afsar Ali Nizami (Muslim), Parampujya Muktanand Bapuji and Mahant Sampurnanand Ji (Panchagni Akhada) along with others are expected to participate.
The Cabinet Minister said that On November 24 Sheesh Bhent Nagar Kirtan will start from Kiratpur Sahib to Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial, Heritage Walk will be organized at Sri Anandpur Sahib (Gurudwara Bhora Sahib-Gurudwara Sheesh Ganj Sahib-Guru Teg Bahadur Museum- Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib- Kila Anandgarh Sahib & culmination at Virasat-e-Khalsa) and Special Vidhan Sabha Session will be held at Bhai Jaita ji memorial. Similarly, Gatka and other events such as Tent Pegging, Dhal-Talwar duel and Shastra Darshan, Simran and Sword Fusion will be organized at Charan Ganga stadium. From November 23 to 29 Drone Show will be held at Virasat-e-Khalsa memorial daily.
The Cabinet Minister further said that Similarly, on November 25 after Bhog of Sri Akhand Path sahib ji, Sarbat Da Bhala Ikattarta will be held at Main Pandaal of Baba Buddha Dal Chhauni. Meanwhile, the state government has made elaborate arrangements facilitating lakhs of devotees arriving in the holy city to witness these events. A structured three-tier parking system (Category A, B, and C) has been evolved to manage the large influx of vehicles expected during the commemorations.
The Cabinet Minister said that Category A parking are located closest to major congregation points, offering smooth entry and exit and category B parking serve mid-distance locations with strong shuttle connectivity, while Category C parking act as peripheral zones to prevent congestion near central venues. All parking sites are equipped with CCTV surveillance, lighting, barricading, traffic marshals, clear signage, and mobile toilets. Existing parking spaces around key religious and cultural locations have also been integrated into the plan.
The Cabinet Minister said that To ensure seamless movement of devotees from parking zones to key venues, a large-scale shuttle transport plan has been implemented. The deployed fleet includes 500 e-rickshaws, 150 mini-buses, 25 Force Urbania vans, 15 cars, 20 Tata Ace vehicles for support, and 10 golf carts for elderly and specially-abled pilgrims. Shuttle services will operate continuously between parking locations and Gurudwara Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Virasat-e-Khalsa, the main pandal, Tent Cities, and help desk points. The system will be monitored through the Integrated Control Centre, with dedicated pick-up points, signage, and volunteers guiding movement.
