AMRITSAR: Shiromani Akali Dal has Started wheat distribution sewa for our hailstorm-affected farmers and farm labourer families in Gandhar village, Sri Muktsar Sahib district. Today, handed over one quintal of wheat per family to 300 families.
Heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated party leadership and workers from Sangrur, Nabha and Zira Assembly constituencies who collected and sent 300 quintals of wheat for this village.
In his post on tweeter Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal president Shiromani Akali Dal said that This sewa, which began today, will now be extended across the state — as announced two months ago. Our party workers and leaders have arranged the entire stock, and it will reach the affected families within the next few days.
It is deeply anguishing that the Aam Admi party govt has not given even a single rupee in compensation to the victims till date. They only indulge in lip service and fake branding, while our farmers continue to suffer.
Badal appealed to all Punjabis — see the difference. Shiromani Akali Dal is your own party. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our farmers and labourers, always committed to their service.
