Miri Piri Khalsa March proceeded for next destination with the message of sovereignty of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, national unity and Panthic consciousness
BIR BABA BUDHA (CHABHAL): The Miri Piri Khalsa March from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo, dedicated to Miri Piri Diwas, which expresses the message of protection of humanity, freedom of religion, justice and spiritual elevation of the sixth Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, began today with Khalsa Jaho-Jalal. The purpose of this Khalsa March is to convey the great principles of Miri Piri to the Sangat and especially to the new generation, to further strengthen national unity and Panthic consciousness, and to propagate the sovereignty of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
On the occasion of the commencement of the Miri Piri Khalsa March, Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Amarjit Singh, acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Tek Singh, President of Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, and other prominent personalities and devotees participated in large numbers and expressed their respect to Guru Sahib. The participation of Nihang Singh Dal Panth along with elephants, camels and horses in the Miri Piri Khalsa March added to its Khalsa fervour. Along with this, students from various schools also became a part of the Miri Piri Khalsa March.
Speaking on this occasion at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj said that the principle of Miri Piri bestowed by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib is the soul of Sikhism, which connects man with the Supreme Lord on one hand and inspires him to stand firm against oppression, injustice and injustice on the other. He said that after the martyrdom of the fifth Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji established Sri Akal Takht Sahib and gave a message to the Sikh community that the form of a saint and a soldier is the real ideal of Sikhism. Guru Sahib announced independent existence and self-respect by playing the drum.
He said that history is witness that the Sikh community has steadfastly faced every challenge by adopting the principle of Miri Piri. The Khalsa Raj of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the victories achieved by great warriors like General Hari Singh Nalwa are examples of this history.
He said that in today's time, there is a need to understand and adopt the concept of Miri Piri. While Sikhs have to connect with Gurbani, Naam Simran and Seva, they also have to be vigilant to protect their national existence and rights.
He said that whenever the nation strayed from its principles or fell victim to division, opposing forces tried to weaken our institutions.
He said that the strength of Sikh institutions, national unity and mutual cooperation are our great strength. If we remain united under the guidance of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, then no power will be able to succeed in its plans. Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, while mentioning the history of Baba Bota Singh Baba Garja Singh, gave the message of Chardi Kala, determination and unity to the Sikh nation. He said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib created by Guru Sahib is eternal, which no power in the world can destroy.
He said that it is also an eternal truth that those who clashed with Sri Akal Takht Sahib could not even save their existence, whereas whoever dedicated himself to Sri Akal Takht Sahib became a recipient of blessings.
He gave a message to the Sikh community that let us unite for the advancement of the nation and face the challenges of time.
He also appealed to the Sangat to join the Miri Piri Khalsa March.
Meanwhile, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami while talking to the media said that the unique principle of Bakhshish Miri Piri by the sixth Guru Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib provided the Sikh community with a unique balance of spirituality and social responsibility. This principle has remained unwavering despite all kinds of challenges for centuries and is always a source of inspiration for the Sikh Panth.
