Dalwinderjit Singh assumes charge as Deputy Commissioner Amritsar

 AMRITSAR: 2017 batch officer Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh today assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner Amritsar. It is noteworthy that Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh has earlier served as Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur.

Earlier, the police personnel welcomed h. im on his arrival in Amritsar by giving a salute. Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh said that he is fortunate that he has got the opportunity to serve the Guru Nagri and will discharge his responsibility with dedication.

After assuming charge, the Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with the district officers regarding stubble management, paddy procurement and ongoing development works in the district. The Deputy Commissioner said that his first priority is to provide citizen services to the people without any hassle.

He said that 90 percent of the people work at Sewa Kendras and Fard Kendras and the end of the pandemic will bring a lot of relief to the people.

He said that the ongoing development works in the district will be accelerated. He said that there is a great need to make farmers aware about stubble management so that they do not burn stubble and encourage them to manage stubble without burning it.

He said that the district administration will provide full support to the farmers for stubble management using both in situ and ex situ techniques and the farmers will be provided with the necessary machinery in a timely manner.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Rohit Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Urban Development Mrs. Amandeep Kaur, SDMs Mr. Gursimranjit Singh, Mr. Mankanwal Singh Chahal, Mr. Amandeep Singh, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Under Training Madam Piyusha, District Revenue Officer Mr. Navkirat Singh, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Sherjang Singh Hundal, Assistant Public Relations Officer Mr. Yogesh Kumar and other officials were also present.
