AMRITSAR: The heads of Nihang Singh organizations have decided after mutual discussions that it is not appropriate for the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, who is not accepted by the entire community, to give a message in the name of the community from Akal Takht Sahib during the Ghallughara.
Nihang Singh organizations will strongly oppose this.
Shiromani Panth Akali Buddha Dal chief Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh, Dalpanth Baba Bidhi Chand Sahib Sursingh chief Baba Avtar Singh, Misl Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Tarna Dal Baba Bakala chief Baba Joga Singh, Baba Nagar Singh Harian Velan, Baba Major Singh Sodhi chief Dashmesh Tarna Dal jointly said that all sects, Damdami Taksal, Sant Mahapurush, Panthic organizations are completely united for the restoration of the order. Kuldeep Singh Gargajj did not become the Jathedar according to the Panthic order.
He has no right to directly interfere in national affairs. He said that the President of the Shiromani Committee had given a full assurance regarding the Jathedar Sahibs soon after meeting with the Nihang Singh chiefs, but even after all this time, no decision has been taken.
He said that those running the Shiromani Committee should respect the feelings of the Sangat. By not taking decisions against the sentiments of the Sangat, the dignity of the Takhts is also being eroded day by day. The Shiromani Committee should refrain from such practices.
He said that this is a kind of act of disrespect to the martyred Singhs and their heirs.
The son of the leader of this military attack, Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, has clearly refused to take the siropa .
He said that Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib are the most revered places of the Nihang Singhs and we have made many sacrifices for the sanctity of these places.
He said that such a conflict situation should not arise here. The Shiromani Committee should introspect about its decisions, it should not repeatedly take decisions that go against the sentiments of the Sikhs.
He said that the Nihang Singh organizations have already decided that no Siropa can be given or taken from this Jathedar. It is the primary duty of the Shiromani Committee and every Sikh to maintain the dignity of the Takhts. But today a conflict has arisen in the Takhts which was not supposed to happen. He said that we personally have no objection to the Shiromani Committee and the Takhts should be completely restored.
