AMRITSAR: The 41st. anniversary of operation blue star was observed with great enthusiasm here today. After the bhog of Akhand Path Sahib at Akal Takht, gurbani kirtan was performed by raagis of Sachkhand Sti Harmandir Sahib. They were reciting gurbani shabad like "raaje Paap Kamavande ulti vaar khet ko khai...."

On the completion of the 41st Ghallughara Martyrdom Ceremony at Sri Akal Takht Sahib in a peaceful manner, Damdami Taksal Chief and Sant Samaj President Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa expressed his satisfaction and gave the credit for the averting of the clash to the entire Sikh community and said that Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib should be treated with great respect.

He said that since we have been coming to commemorate the martyrs of June 84, this is the first time that the Martyrdom Ceremony has been completed with great peace, harmony and unity by the Panth. For which he thanks Sri Guru Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and all the martyrs.

He said that the power of martyrs is used here. At the same time, he appreciated the role of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, who has played his role in preventing the conflict with great wisdom, tolerance, dedication and foresight.

He said that there should be no conflict of any kind in the Panth in the memory of the martyrs. Today, this message went around the world that the entire Panth celebrated the memory of the martyrs of June 84 with great peace and respect at Shri Akal Takht Sahib. The nation has shown unity under the umbrella of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. Today's event is a celebration of martyrs. 41 years ago today, the Indian government attacked Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib with cannons and tanks and martyred thousands of innocent children, Sikhs, Sikh women and elders.

He said that the main event of June 84 is held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, then the second event is celebrated with great devotion and pomp at Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash Mehta, the main shrine of Damdami Taksal.

He said that the Martyrs' Day should be celebrated in this manner with peace, unity and harmony. The world should be sent this message that Sikhs celebrate this day with great respect and mutual unity. But there are still some elements who always come here and spoil the atmosphere of this place and give it a wrong color, due to which the Sikh hearts are sad. Today, the eyes of the Sikh enemy class were fixed here but their plans did not succeed. Today is the first time that the Sikhs celebrated the Martyrs' Day very peacefully.

When the demand of the Jathedar (Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj), who is not approved by the Sikh Panth of Damdami Taksal and Sikh sects, not to give a message in the martyrdom ceremony and not to honor the martyr families was accepted by the Shiromani Committee, the organizer of the martyrdom ceremony, he said that he is not in favor of making such a claim because it would be a big ego that is not acceptable in the Guru Ghar, he said that I had appealed that the appointment of Jathedars should be made by taking all Sikh sects, Nihang Singh organizations, Singh Sabhas, Federation and struggling Sikh organizations into confidence. He said that in the coming time, all the Panthic organizations will sit together and discuss the appointment of Jathedars.

He said that if the Shiromani Committee appoints the Jathedars of the Takhts by taking all the Sikh organizations into confidence, then there is no dispute, when we do not take the Panth into confidence, then disputes arise. He said that while the appointment of Jathedars should be as per the procedure, the Jathedars should also be retired with honor at the time of their departure.

He said that he will ask the Shiromani Committee to find a permanent solution to these issues so that universally accepted Jathedars can be appointed with the unanimous opinion of all the Sikh organizations.
