CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria extended his good wishes and greetings to the people, especially the Muslim brethren, on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), a festival observed in commemoration of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim, for his un-flinching devotion to Allah.
In a message, the Governor said that Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) symbolises the spirit of sacrifice, manifested by unshakable faith and firm commitment. The day also reminds us the need to foster peace and harmony among all and to care for the disadvantaged sections of society.
