CHANDIGARH: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu has increased his lead at the end of 9th round of counting in Tarn Taran by-election. He is followed by SAD(Badal) candidate Sukhwinder Kaur.
AAP leads by 5510 votes. Sandhu has got 23773 votes while SAD candidate Sukhwinder Kaur has got 18263.
Thew Congress party has slipped to fourth place while Mandeep Singh an independent candidate has progressed from fourth to third place. He is supported by rebel SAD and radical group Varis Punjab De.
Mandeep Singh has got 10416 votes and Congress is at fourth place with 9470 votes. BJP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu is at fifth rank with 3009 votes.
